How can you become super consistent in what you do?

How to be super Consistent

Consistency is not what people want you to believe it is.

People want you to believe Consistent means doing it daily but it does not.

Another word for consistency is evenness, which means consistency is the act of doing things in a way that makes them look even and the same.

That is, if you exercise during lunch break every Thursday, Consistency demands that you do it every Thursday at the exact same time.

A consistent person always behaves in the same way, has the same attitudes towards people or things, and achieves the same level of success in something.

Consistency is very important in every aspect of our lives because it allows us to focus on what you want to do and make accomplishing your goals easier.

Consistency takes time and never end.

If you want to be consistent, you have to do the same thing at the same time, possibly in the same place until that thing defines you .

It's just like building a habit although it takes 30 days to build, it takes forever to keep it going.

Before I dive into how to be super Consistent.

You must know that some days, you won't feel like doing it, those days, you have to remember that Self-discipline is not about doing it because you want to or feel like, but it is about doing it whether or not you feel like doing it.

There are also some days that life would happen and you won't happen to stay consistent, forgive yourself and do it the next session.

Here are 8 quick tips to become super consistent at what you do

1. Choose a goal

Consistency is what humans hate the most because it takes a lot of work and effort to be consistent and stay that way.

That's why we always want to avoid being consistent, so the next time you want to practice Consistency...

Start with just one goal, one task, and focus on one goal at a time.

Look within yourself, where do you need Consistency the most?

When you find an answer, start with that.

Work consistently on it and when you have become Consistent move to another goal.

2. Let yourself grow

Like I already say, it takes a lot of work to be consistent and unless you have a lot of patience and focus to go with it, you would never be able to gain Consistency.

That's why you should allow yourself to take things slow and celebrate your small wins.

Motivate yourself to do more by endorsing yourself for all the small steps you take toward being consistent.

3. Be present when it's time

You should be fully engaged and focused on your goal, stop your mind from wandering around, and restrict yourself from worrying about a ton of other things that can wait.

Minimize distractions, stop worrying about all that could go wrong and just do what you have to do.

4. Anticipate failure

Everything worth pursuing has a messy path and you don't have to trick yourself to believing yours would be better.

Face the bitter truth earlier.

It won't be easy to be consistent at what you do but you just have to be consistent if you want to become better at what you do.

Failure would come at you at every point and even after every small win.

You have to know it will come, you have to anticipate it, you have to determine what you will do when it comes, and find a way to keep going.

5. Keep the tricks at bay

Since Consistency is trying and challenging. You would always feel sluggish, tired or lazy thinking of it.

This is one of the tricks your brain loves playing, don’t fall for it.

If you want to be super consistent, you have to push forward and keep the tricks away from you.

Because if you don’t, you'll go back to being inconsistent..

6. Just do it

We tend to overthink and play the game of what-if, assuming every single thing that could go wrong.

And that's also a card your brain plays with you to get you out of Consistency.

Don't think too much about it, get down to it and do it.

And when you feel like you don't just feel like doing it, just do it.

Remember, self-discipline is not about doing it when you feel like it, but about doing what you have to do when you have to do it.

7. Find an accountability partner

If you don't pamper yourself, who will, right?

That's why you need an accountability partner, you tend to skip things because you think no one else noticed.

But when you have someone that you know is waiting for you to do what you have to do.

Someone that you have to explain why you didn't do what you have to do at the appointed time, you tend to become more serious with Consistency since you don't want to lose face.

You don’t need to make a post about your intentions to the whole world to be accountable.

Just find one or two trusted friends and share your goals, your timelines and hold each other accountable.

8. Forgive yourself and keep going

We hate to break what we make and tend to beat ourselves up when we fail in our plan.

Some people even resist setting goals and deadlines, and making plans to avoid this unpleasant experience altogether.

I also once felt like this because I couldn't update my blog post as scheduled, but I forgave myself and made an update the next day, at the same time.

That is what you should also do, anything you fail to follow through with your Consistency plan, just forgive yourself and do it well next time

Life happens and you don't have to stop just because you miss one session.

Forgive yourself and keep going and get back on track and get consistent.
